Not too long ago, a group of friends traveled through the rural areas of India, their intent to visit sites of the countryside. On this trip they saw a great deal more—their eyes were opened to a need for the basic requirements oflife among the native Indian people, the Adivasis. They saw children with severe malnutrition and mothers without food for these children. There were men lacking the means to provide even the most basic shelter for their families... youth without work due to unavailability of training and education…children as young as four or five begging in the streets.

Inspired by this visit, the group formed a nonprofit corporation, Third Millennium Awakening (TMA), to provide basic educational, medical, and agricultural assistance to impoverished regions of the world

This organization currently supports grass roots programs in Ganeshpuri, India, targeting the twin problems of malnutrition and disease.

Poverty, malnutrition, and disease are a way of life for many individuals in India and other third-world countries, but, with your help, we can begin to turn this around, one individual and one village at a time.
